Unions and collecitve agreements
- Unions have the right to negociate work conditions with employers, unhindered. Unions freedom to negociate collective agreements with employers is also protected (ILO has a special procedure to process unions complaints regarding the violation of this very principle).
Freedom of association and membership
- Freedom of association, it's freedom of adhering to a union. This is part of the fundamental human rights. Employees cannot be disadvantaged because of their involvement in a union outside working hours.
Right to strike
- Workers have the right to strike to defend their social and economical interests. The right to strike is accessory and corollary to the right of association and union membership provided by ILO 87th convention.
