RHSF works closely with the NGO IIECL (International Initiative to End Child Labor, USA) to efficiently fight against child labour.
Thanks to the training provided by RHSF in the Ivory Coast with CERAP (Center for Research and Action for Peace) in December 2011, seven trained students were hired locally to evaluate the impact of CSR on cacao plantations (January 2012) and fight against child labour in that sector. RHSF carried out the training, accompanied each student in the field, assessed them individually in order to optimise the quality and efficiency of their work. In collaboration with FLA (Fair Labor Association), RHSF completed several CSR reviews looking at the risk of child labour and forced labour in the nutgrowing sector in Turkey (August 2011) and in the corn and sunflower sector in Romania (September 2011).
RHSF and IIECL aslo completed a CSR review on child labour risks in the coffee production sector in Nicaragua based on the ISO 26000 framework, Chapter 6 which focusses on corporate social responsibility (CSR).
